In this series of monochrome drawings, Mandy presents a Vancouver audience with something rarely seen here: the human form in all its classical beauty.  The most important element of Classical Realism is a delicate balance of accuracy of observation weighed against the artist’s inclusion of only the most beauteous aspects of reality.  In today’s world of uncertainty and bleak news, Mandy thought it timely to give us all something to inspire and uplift.  Her series of Smiling Faces, in particular, should give us all occasion to laugh and smile ourselves!
